Dojo

A dojo (道場, dojo) is a Japanese term to describe the room or location used for the purpose of practicing the way. The two kanji used to construct the word dojo each have their own meaning. The first one do means way and the second jo means place or location. The dojo is used for the purpose of training and teaching i.e. Karate, Judo etc.
Sometimes the term "honbu dojo" is also rendered. This refers to the main dojo, also known as the headquarters.
