Koshokun

Koshokun, also known as Kusanku (Chinese pronunciation), or in Shotokan renamed to Kanku (dai) (観空大), is the name of a kata within karate and it translates to gazing heavenward, viewing the sky, or contemplating the sky. The name refers to a person named Kusanku. He was a Chinese diplomat, from Fukien, who reportedly taught the locals of Okinawa.
In Genseiryu the kata exist in two versions: Koshokun (dai) and Koshokun (sho).
